Rob
Evans began his career as an enthusiastic amateur photographer around the age of ten, inspired by subject matter he encountered
everyday in his suburban New Jersey town; his favorite subjects were animals, friends and family and other items found
around town and in nature. Years later, after attending Union County Community College and completeing courses
on photography and darkroom, he began working as an assistant to local portrait photographers.
He honed
his skills while training with some of the area's best photographers; after two years of working in the field, he invested
in his own professional camera and lighting equipment. Rob proved to be a natural and quickly mastered the standard
techniques; as a result, he was promoted to lead photographer for the portrait studio he was working for. With
more freedom to be creative, Rob created several poses that have now become the standard in portrait photography.
Several
years later at another studio, he was hired as manager in charge of daily operations as well as training of
new and experienced photographers alike. With a more diverse variety of clientele, Rob gained even more experience,
which led him to realizing his dream of having his own studio. In 2002 he opened Rob Evans Photography.

The Studio
Rob Evans
Photography studio originally came into existence as a place to hold photography club meetings for a small group
of local full time professional photographers.
While still working for other studios, this was a
great little place to experiment with lighting and other photographic techniques, as well as do occasional side work.
Purely by word of mouth, the number of headshot, portfolio and portait clients coming in, soon became a significant
source of income.
In 2002 we became a fully operational photography
studio and since then, we have needed to move into larger offices.
Due to the volume of referrals and new calls coming in,
we are now also involved in several different aspects of the professional photography market. All equipment
used at the studio was made or purchased with the intention of being fully mobile, including cameras, lighting and
backgrounds. We are fully equipped for on-location corporate headshot appointments as well as larger scale modeling
and fashion shoots.
Studio Mission
Regardless of size, we strive to be one of the best headshot photography studio's
available today. Without sacrificing quality, we can still offer lower rates in our smaller scale studio.
We are proud to be able to create the professional
images that our clients love. Not only do our images make clients look their best and preserve
that look forever, they can also help to make money! We always go out of our way to make it a pleasant
experience and are meticulous in all of our work.
We like to keep affordable
packages available for those on limited budgets. Our smaller scale studio helps to keep our operating costs
lower and we enjoy being able to pass along the savings.

Rob's
designs have recently been sought out by some of the biggest names in hair, makeup and clothing lines; fashion and commercial
photography make up a large segment of his work. His images have been published in product ads featured in magazines
such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Cosmo, as well as in product catalogues and on billboards. Additionally, in February
of 2005, the Discovery channel hired him for a live shoot featured in an episode of "Party Planner with David Tutera."
Rob Evans is
enthralled by both the creative and personal aspects of photography. He takes pleasure in the science of his work, paying
special attention to the lighting, surroundings, and posing of his subject matter and clients. Simultanously, Rob enjoys
taking some time to get to know his clients, in attempt to uncover their true personalities and bring them out on
film. He accomplishes this through a comfortable and fun personality. A consumate professional, Rob Evans
is driven to use his expertise to accentuate and document an exquisite moment in life.

Studio News
Accomplished Artist
Elisa Rodriguez has joined with our studio full time, to offer something very unique. Stunning hand painted portraits
using various mediums including; oil bar, watercolor, acrylic, chalk and oil pastel, charcol, graphite or mica portraits as
well as ink illustrations of people and pets, are now available to all clients.
The amount of time spend posing during photo
sessions, is enough time for Elisa to retain an acccurate likeness of each subject. The rest of the time
needed to create the final image, is spent using a reference photograph based on the professional photography
of Rob Evans.
The many forms of unique and beautiful art Elisa does,
need to be seen in person to be appreciated. She graduated with two majors in fine art and is slated on the
deans list at Raritan Valley Community College. Working in the fine arts field for several years after
graduating, she has now partnered with our studio, to offer our clients something very special. Please check back with
the website in the near future, to see samples from her portfolio and even some step by step images of how her
pieces are created.
